When Tom Andrews was a 15-year-old aspiring singer, he knew that the only way an unknown teenager from the south of England who had zero connections to the music industry was going to get discovered was on the Internet. He was right. In August of 2010, a producer searching for fresh talent to appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show came across a YouTube video Andrews had posted of himself performing a stunningly powerful rendition of James Brown’s “It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World” and alerted DeGeneres, which led to Andrews’ appearance on the TV star’s show last September where he charmed viewers with soft-spoken personality then blew them away with the emotionally transparent quality of his soulful voice while singing the Brown classic.

Now signed to DeGeneres’ eleveneleven/Interscope Records, the 17-year-old Brit is currently writing the songs that will appear on his debut album.
