Bill Silva Entertainment (BSE) is a far cry from its apartment living room beginnings in 1979 where Bill Silva began his career promoting local concerts. Today, the fully-staffed organization includes Bill Silva Presents (BSP), a major concerts promotion and touring division; Bill Silva Management (BSM), an artist management division; Silva Music Publishing (SMP), a music publishing and licensing division; and a 20-year relationship with the Hollywood Bowl to present concerts there.
Since 1979, Bill Silva Entertainment has produced over 10,000 events from small clubs to major stadiums all over the world. Shows produced have included such prodigious talents as Simon & Garfunkel, Santana, The Police, Madonna, Nirvana, Eric Clapton and Bob Dylan.
Bill Silva founded Bill Silva Presents in 1979 while at school at the University of California, San Diego. BSP was so successful in San Diego that Bill then expanded his concert operations throughout the Southwest United States to Phoenix, Las Vegas, Texas, Idaho and Los Angeles.
When BSE moved to Los Angeles in 1999, Bill had become one of the top impresarios in North America, working with artists such as The Who, Devo, Pat Benatar, INXS, Diana Ross and Willie Nelson. Universal Studios’ concert division bought BSE in 1999, which was later purchased by House of Blues Concerts. Bill Silva left that venture in 2003 and re-formed Bill Silva Presents as his own entrepreneurial company.
Bill Silva Management (BSM) was formed in 1993 and offers a full house of specialized services helping to guide the careers of an eclectic roster of music artists and producers. Our roster includes GRAMMY Award-winning artist Jason Mraz; RCA Records rapper Brooke Candy; Atlantic Records singer songwriter Molly Kate Kestner; Interscope Records rapper Dreezy; DJ Kittens; Nickelodean’s XO-IQ. For all of our musical clients we also offer music licensing services by placing their music in television programs, movies, video games and commercials.
In a highly competitive industry, BSM artists benefit from years of experience in all aspects of an artist’s career. Every artist has unique sets of needs and BSM supports these with in-house merchandising, brand licensing, publishing, and music licensing.
We offer internship opportunities year-round in Management, Publishing, Digital, and Finance. Our goal is to help maximize your exposure to the music business, allow you to learn as much as you can from who we are and what we do, and enable you to learn more by assisting hands-on in the day-to-day operation of our business through various assignments, long-term projects, and collaborative interactions with employees. There is much that you can learn from us, but there is also a lot that we can learn from you! As such, we have carefully crafted a training program to maximize your success and education during your time here with us.
